JEFFREY TAYLOR

With over thirty years experience in the entertainment industry, Jeffrey Taylor has produced for stage, television and feature film. He first entered the entertainment industry in 1979 as an executive director for Andsomest Productions, a British Theatre Production company.

Having sold his financial services company in 1983, he mounted a number of stage productions in the UK and then formed in 1986, Stagescreen Productions, a film, television and stage production company with the British actor Anthony Andrews (Under The Volcano, The Holcroft Covenant, Brideshead Revisited) and the producer Derek Granger (Brideshead Revisited, Series of Laurence Olivier television plays, co-produced with Lord Olivier). Since then Jeffrey has divided his time between London and Los Angeles and has concentrated on producing new work for film, TV and the stage

STAGE. Interest in the stage is mainly in plays which have the promise of further life, either as features or TV films

FEATURE FILMS: Currently in development are a number of original film screenplays from young and upcoming writers based both in the USA and UK. Other projects in development include the adaptation for the screen of novels by Paul Gallico, John Rechy and Christopher Isherwood, and stage plays by Noel Coward and Peter Nichols, also being adapted for the screen.

TELEVISION: A number of international television projects are currently being developed, including a mini-series on the life of Kathleen Kennedy, with a major USA television production company, a series co-created by Jeffrey on the teenage years of Alexander The Great (British/Canadian/Greek co-production) and a series based on his feature film What’s Cooking?, currently being developed with Tony Jonas Productions
